KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is how xrowdeal confirms you're a real person. Completing it gives your account a verified status that buyers and sellers can see, makes you far more trustworthy on a deal, and may be required for certain transactions. The process is quick: complete your profile, pick an ID document, upload clear photos of both sides, and wait for review.
Step 1: Complete your profile first
KYC can't be submitted until your profile is complete, because your ID has to match your details. Open Edit profile and make sure these are filled in:
- Full name — exactly as it appears on your ID.
- Phone number — ideally verified.
- Address — address line, city, and country.
If anything is missing, the KYC page shows an "Action needed" badge and sends you to finish your profile first.
Step 2: Choose your document type
On the KYC Verification page, select one of the accepted identity documents:
- National ID (CNIC)
- International Passport
- Driving License
Then enter the document number exactly as printed on the ID.
Step 3: Upload the front and back
Upload a photo of both the front and back of your document. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, WEBP, or PDF, up to 8 MB each (images are optimized automatically before upload, so even phone photos work fine).
- Good lighting, no glare. Make sure the ID number and your name are sharp and readable.
- Show the whole document. Don't crop the edges or cover any details.
- Match your profile. The name on the ID should match the full name on your profile.
Tap submit. You'll see an "Optimizing" then "Uploading securely" progress screen — keep it open until it finishes.
Understanding your KYC status
- Not started — you haven't submitted documents yet.
- Pending — your documents are submitted and under review by our team. No action needed; just wait.
- Verified — you're confirmed. Your account shows a verified badge and the verification date.
- Rejected — something didn't pass (blurry image, mismatch, wrong document). You can re-submit with corrected documents.
Why xrowdeal asks for KYC
Escrow only works when both sides can trust the platform. Verifying identities keeps scammers from hiding behind anonymous, throwaway accounts, and gives our team something to act on if a deal goes to dispute. Your documents are stored securely and used only for verification and safety — read more on our security page and privacy policy.
When verification becomes mandatory
Most of the time KYC is something you choose to do to build trust. In some situations — for example, if our team flags an account for review or a party in a dispute needs checking — verification can be required. If that happens, you'll see an "Account temporarily restricted" screen until you complete the requested step. Learn what to do in our guide on a temporarily locked or restricted account.
Frequently asked questions
How long does KYC verification take?
Submissions are reviewed by our team. While it's being checked your status shows as pending. You'll be notified once it's verified or if anything needs fixing.
What documents are accepted for KYC?
A National ID (CNIC), an international passport, or a driving license. You upload clear photos of both the front and back, plus the document number.
Why was my KYC rejected?
The most common reasons are blurry or cropped photos, glare hiding details, a number that doesn't match the document, or a name that doesn't match your profile. Fix the issue and re-submit.
Is my ID data safe on xrowdeal?
Your documents are stored securely and used only for identity verification and platform safety. They're never part of your public profile. See our privacy policy for details.
Can I trade before I'm verified?
You can use much of the platform right away, but a verified badge makes counterparties far more comfortable trading with you, and some deals or situations may require it.
